Car Park Challenge Instructions

As far as the control scheme department is concerned, there is nothing out of this world about this parking game: Car Park Challenge. Just like most parking games you will find in the internet, you will use your computer's keyboard for basic movement... specifically the left, right, up and down arrow keys. Using the arrow keys, you need to drive around the parking lot and find the correct parking space while avoiding obstacles like trolleys and other vehicles. And you need to do it fast. YES, there's a time limit in the game and if that runs out, it's game over! The left and right arrow keys are used for steering while the up arrow key is for forward movement and acceleration. Meanwhile, if you want to slow down or brake, just press the down arrow key. Now that the easier part has been taken care of, let's get to the harder part - playing the game!

Car Park Challenge Walkthrough

At first glance, there seems to be nothing unique or special about this parking game - Car Park Challenge... well, except for the fact that it's being used as a promotion tool by NRMA Insurance while imparting some nice facts about collision and car accidents like (Ex.: Out of 7 collisions that occur, at least one of them occur in car parks!). Upon closer look, HOWEVER, I discovered that this parking game is much more in touch with reality than other car parking games out there, and you will find out later what I am talking about.

Anyway, the objective of the game is pretty standard to: you have a car to park, you need to beat the clock (and you are given a minute to get the job done or it's back to square one), and you MUST park the car without damaging your car. There are truckloads of obstacles along the way - there are terribly parked vehicles, trolleys that move on their own, and those are just to name a few. Coming at you with 10 levels that are increasing in difficulty, this is a car parking game that will keep you busy for quite some time. HOWEVER, outside that, I don't think this game comes with a hefty amount of replay value. You can change the state you select at the beginning of the game, BUT it doesn't change the challenges and obstacles at all. Maybe the state selection part is for recon... maybe some sort of data gathering technique by NRMA Insurance to see which state they would make most profit on? I'm not too sure, and to be honest, I could care less.

Anyway, back to the game, I really like the fact that a single bump can ruin the whole game. Nah, it won't be the end of the world if you nudge a parked car with your bumper. Other car parking games can't say the same. For most of them, once you slightly bump against almost anything, BAM! The words "Game Over!" splat on your face. HOWEVER, don't think that you can just go reckless with your driving and parking. Using the data NRMA got from their research center, you will be given an estimate of how much the repairs would cost. OK, I know, this one has the word "Advertisement" on it and with blinking lights. BUT I think this is nicer than instantly losing the game.

Comes with accurate data from real crashers that will estimate damage with every level, nice graphics design, 10 different levels to choose from, has that easy to learn BUT hard to master game play (which parking games have been known for), realistic sound effects and more - in short, this is a nice game that fans of parking games may want to check out.
